Well tonight is the night. It is the night the rar-rars go away. In case you're wonder what rar-rars are, they're pacifiers. Our son is very attached. But at almost two and a half, it is time to let them go. Now, understand the boy, at a very young age, could be spotted carrying up to 6 at a time. Lately, it's only been two. He sucks on one as he twiddles the other between his fingers as he falls asleep. It's been 10 minutes, and he hasn't fallen asleep yet. He's wondered if we (daddy and I) have lost our minds.
Oh wait ... he's quiet. Could it really be that easy? Oh, nope, another cry. Pray we'll be successful. And, pray we've found all the hidden rar-rars that he has strategically stashed throughout the house.
