Extreme Makeover Home Edition

So tonight I am watching Extreme Makeover Home Edition. I love it, though often am reduced to tears. Tonight's show (a rerun) is about a family consisting of Dad, and three daughters (6, 3, & 6ish months). Mom died unexpectantly in her sleep soon after the birth of the youngest. Of course, I'm crying because it makes me think of my own husband and children in the event the Lord decided to take me earlier than we'd all planned.

Would they know that everything is o.k.? That God isn't trying to punish them? That He didn't mean it to harm them? That He has a plan in all things? I would hope so. Perhaps this is an important reason to constantly teach our children about God's faithfulness. That He has a plan to prosper them and not to harm them, to give them a hope and a future, (Adapted from Jeremiah 29:10) regardless of how long I'm included in that plan. God willing I hope to be around to see my grandchildren, but if He took me earlier I wouldn't be looking back. My hope is that He'll return to take us all up to Him! What a glorious day that would be.
