I am becoming a Mary Kay woman. Yes, there I said it. I used to make fun of those big-haired make-up pushers. And, here I am, I'm going to join them (sans the big hair). I am really attracted to the ministry opportunity of Mary Kay. The opportunity to speak truth about real beauty as I share make-up tips of the trade.
I went to a Monday night training meeting and expected the typical training on bookings and how to select the perfect color of eye shadow. Instead, I sat and listened to two women (both national sales directors) speak about the Lord. They cited scripture and spoke truth. They spoke about the power of the words we speak. They talked about the value of having right priorities. They continued about the importance of being in and doing the will of the Lord. Let's put it this way, I was more moved in that meeting than I have been in some churches. Anyway, it lines up with my passion to cultivate relationships with women and speak truth over their lives. I went to that meeting thinking I might sign up for the discount, but left with vision to actually pursue the opportunity. The opportunity to meet hundreds of women. And, the opportunity to build a successful business, too.
